MQM receives Indian Funding; Report

LONDON – The officials of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have told authorities in United Kingdom that they received money from India.

According to BBC, the authorities investigating the alleged involvement of MQM in terror related activities in Pakistan also found the list of weapons received by MQM.

An official from Pakistan told British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) that hundreds of MQM militants have been trained by India over the last ten years.

MQM has yet not come to the surface, and avoid commenting on the report, BBC report.

However, Indian authorities ruled out the report saying that the claim of BBC is ‘completely baseless’.

It is pertinent to mention her that, senior police of Karachi Rao Anwar also told media that two arrested MQM persons also confessed that they received training from India.

Rao in his media talk also gave the details of how those two men went to India through Thailand to get training from Indian secret agency RAW.

However, regarding the claims, Indian High Commission in London said that, “Shortcomings of governance cannot be rationalized by blaming neighbors.”

According to details, authorities in United Kingdom, started investigation and interrogation against MQM after the murder of MQM’s senior representative Imran Farooq outside his house in North London.

The report shook the entire Pakistan, because the accused MQM possess 24 members in National Assembly of Pakistan, and has been a dominant party in Pakistan’s largest city, Karachi.

During the raid and inquiries British police also found $787,350 from MQM office and from the house of MQM’s leader Altaf Hussain, which signaled a second interrogation into possible money laundering scam.
